PATTERN FOR WIRE
ARMATURE FOR CLAY DOLL
Print out this
page and adjust size, if necessary, by photocopying the pattern (enlarging or
reducing). You could also resize in a graphics program.
The
"bar" to the left of the doll pattern should be about 5 1/2 inches
tall for an adult female in 1 inch scale or about 6 inches for a 6 foot
adult male. Children, of course, would be smaller. For other
scales, adjust accordingly.
The grey areas
are where the clay parts go. For the adult female (5 1/2" doll),
the outstretched hand, from wrist to fingertips is about 1/2"-5/8",
the bottom of the foot is about 3/4", the head is also about 3/4".
Remember, compare to your own body parts to get good proportions.
